Raise Your Voice: Blogging with FFP
Blogging will be an important opportunity for you to practice your writing and communication skills, practice developing a digital footprint, and overall, demonstrate your thinking around Careers, Civics, and English throughout the entire course of FFP. You will also read other blogs from the FFP classrooms and respond with comments. As FFP students comment on each others blogs, we will build an online community that helps extend our discussions and ideas into the digital realm. The overall goal is for you to raise your voice and the voice of other students as you learn to communicate your thinking through writing and media artifacts that help you build a positive digital online presence.
How does it work?
During class time there will be opportunities to practice the writing process (generating ideas, drafting, revising and publishing). You will then post your blog through your teacher-sponsored Weebly site. This site will give you the ability to upload audio and video.
How do I find the other blogs to comment on?
The teachers will post links to each student's site so that you can find others and others can find you. Because this is a public activity, please consider your online safety.

Online Safety
Blogging is happening in the real world. Although your teacher's can monitor your blogs, you need to consider the safety precautions. Here are things to consider:
- avoid using your full name and other people's full names
- be sensitive to the pictures you post especially if they include other people
- treat others online as you would treat them in face to face..with respect and dignity
- if you receive comments or contact that you don't like, let your teacher know
