We have just started to blog in our classroom. We are setting up accounts, figuring out details. But here is one of our first blogs hot off google doc....
The 5th Year Dilemma
You see, I have always wanted to learn a wide variety of things. I want to take a fifth year and fill it with all the subjects I want to learn about but can’t fit into 4 years of 8 courses. The thing is that I don’t know whether I want to spend an extra year at school, while all or most of my friend start university. I am just trying to weigh my options. On one hand I want to learn financial accounting, technological design, earth and space science, travel and tourism, visual arts - drawing and painting, media arts. On the other hand if I stay for an entire full course year extra I will be a year behind, and not in the same school as most or any of my friends. My sister says I should only take a fifth year if you need to bump up your grades. Some people tell me if I want to I should. Others tell me to take summer school for the courses I want to take, but say that you should have your summers to relax not to go to school. There are so many options and choices to make and only a limited amount of time to decide what to do. What to do?
